Getting your bike to
fit correctly will increase your level of comfort, and enhance your
cycling experience. Most of all the correct bike fit will get the most
out of your legs through the right power transfer.
Cycleways provide the Specialized
Body Geometry bike fit. We offer three services to cusomters which are
suitable for Road, Mountain, Hybrid and Triathlon/Time-Trial bike fits.
1) Basic Fit - Which is a 'basic' initial fit. This is suited for people that have brought a 'brand new' bike that has never been ridden before. The service takes about 10-20 minutes and looks at Foot position, Saddle Height and Handlebar position. Cost €20 *free if you buy your bike at Cycleways.
2) 2D Body Geometry Fit - This is a 1-2 hour session of bike fitting. We look at your cleat position, Knees, hips, saddle height, Torso and hand position on the bike. The service includes any adjustments that need to be made. This does not include any replacement of parts. The 2d fit is the most popular bike fit service we offer. Cost € 50
3) 3D Body Geometry Fit - This is an extensive 2+ hour fitting service. We asses body flexibility, posture and strength in relation to you postion on the bike. We look at cleat position, knees, hips, saddle height/tild, upper body and reach. It is an extensive fit-service, something which you should consider if you are doing any major rides. Cost € 120

Specialized Body Geometry bike fit has been developed over many years
of experience and training and formalised into a series of dynamic steps
which are developed by Dr. Andy Pruitt - the Director of Boulder Centre
for Sports Medicine in the US. A testomony of the
bike fit can be seen through the sucess of more than 30 years of skills
and development to produce such champions as winners of the Tour De
France.
Cycleways have
qualified staff available to provide the Specialized Body Geometry bike
fit and is done on location at the store.
The bike
fit can take between 1-2 hours, and can be done on any brand of bicycle.
Our expert staff will give you a full summary of the settings and be
able to offer support and advice and make changes to your position on
the best way to make your bike fit as comfortable and powerful as
possible.
