Brand new and open for business is our Cycleways Rent-A-Bike-Centre. Located next door to our shop in Dublin city centre and open 7 days a week (Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 6pm, late night Thursday till 8pm and on Sundays from 11am till 5pm).
We are ready to cater for both day-trippers and cycling holiday enthusiasts alike. Listed below are some frequently asked questions, which should give you all the information you need. How much does it cost?
To Rent a bike costs 20 euros a day or 80 euros per week.
Is a deposit required?
Yes - a deposit of 200 euros must be paid prior to collecting the bicycle. This must be paid in cash, credit or debit cards are not accepted. The deposit is refundable on return of the bicycle(s) providing it is in proper working order. Bicycles are not insured against theft.
What kind of bike do I get?
Navigating the urban jungle
is easier and safer with a bike truly equipped for the task. Customary
to our Globe City bikes are front and back lights, fenders, aluminum
racks with retention cords, chainguards, plush Body Geometry saddles
and ultra puncture-resistant Nimbus tires.
Are there women specific bikes available?
No but the small frame Globe would be suitable as a womens bike if a womens frame is essential contact us and we may be able to arrange something to suit
What accessories come with the bike?
The bike comes with a lock and repair kit including pump, spare tube, and tyre levers. Helmets are also available if needed at no extra charge.
Can I rent Panniers?
Yes. Scicon 40 litre waterproof rear panniers are available to rent at a cost of 5 euros per day or 20 euros per week.
Can I return the bicycle to an alternative destination?
No - all bikes must be returned to Cycleways. We do not have a facility to collect from other locations around the country.
Do I need to book in advance?
It is not always necessary although it is advisable. You may book by contacting us at rentabike@cycleways.com specifying the date of your arrival and return along with credit card details.
How to find us
We are situated on Parnell Street at the corner of Dominick Street, opposite the rear entrance of the Ilac shopping centre.
